Additional public transport runs will be organized on July 7 and 8
On July 7 and 8, due to the concerts of the XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and the XVI Dance Festival at Daugava stadium and the dress rehearsal and closing concert in Mežaparks, additional public transport runs that will depart until 2:00 from the city centre will be organized on the following routes:
- bus routes No. 2, 3, 11, 12/23/26 (combined route crossing Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53;
- tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11;
- trolleybus routes No. 9. 14. 15. 17. 18. 22. 27.
Saturday, July 7
Special trolleybus route „Central Railway Terminal – Daugava stadium” will be organized as of 18:00 due to the great dancing performance „Mary’s Land” at Daugava stadium.
The trolleybus will run from the Central Railway Terminal along Satekles Street, Marijas Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Stabu Street, Avotu Street, Jāņa Asara Street. In the direction of the Central Railway Terminal, the trolleybus will run along Jāņa Asara Street, Avotu Street, Matīsa Street, Aleksandra Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street.
Additional runs will be also organised on tram route No. 11 according to the passenger flow due to the rehearsal and dress rehearsal in Mežaparks.
Starting from 16:00, trolleybus route No. 3 will be extended to Mežaparks and trolleybuses will run by route No. 3a „Central market – Sarkandaugava – Mežaparks”. The runs will be organized according to the passenger flow.
Additional runs will be also organised on trolleybus routes No. 5, 11 and 22 and on bus routes No. 6, 9, 48 and 52 according to the passenger flow due to the dress rehearsal in Mežaparks and the concert at Daugava stadium.
Sunday, July 8
Due to the closing concert of the XXVI All-Latvian Song Festival and the XVI Dance Festival „On the Star Way” and the Night of Singing Rehearsals in Mežaparks, additional runs will be organized on tram route No. 11 according to the passenger flow.
Starting from 16:00, trolleybus route No. 3 will be extended to Mežaparks and trolleybuses will run by route No. 3a „Central market – Sarkandaugava – Mežaparks”. The runs will be organized according to the passenger flow.
Additional runs will be also organised on bus routes No. 9 and 48 according to the passenger flow before and after the closing concert.
